1. Who is responsible for your information?
BACKON is operated by NV Venture, India. NV Venture is responsible for personal information collected directly through BACKON unless another company is clearly identified as an independent controller for a particular service.
2. What information we may collect
- Contact data: name, email, telephone number, country/region and preferred contact method.
- Support data: device type, operating system, product/model, issue category, problem description and troubleshooting history.
- Business-support data: company name, role, authorized contact and relevant workplace/device information when a business requests support.
- Service records: authorization times, session start/end, technician notes, actions taken and outcome.
- Transaction records: service purchased, invoice amount, payment status, processor reference and refund/chargeback status. BACKON does not need to store full payment-card credentials.
- Communications: emails, support messages, complaint records and communication preferences.
- Technical/security data: IP address, browser/device information and infrastructure logs where reasonably needed to operate or secure the website.
3. Information we do not want you to send
Do not place passwords, full card numbers, card PINs, banking credentials, crypto-wallet seed phrases, unrelated one-time codes, government identification or unnecessary health/financial documents into the support form or ordinary email. During a remote session, close unrelated sensitive screens and files.
4. Why we use information
- to respond to a support request and identify the appropriate support path;
- to schedule, provide, document and improve a requested service;
- to verify authorization and reduce fraud/abuse;
- to create quotes, service orders, invoices, receipts and refunds;
- to operate and secure the website and support systems;
- to meet tax, accounting, dispute, recordkeeping and legal obligations;
- to respond to privacy, access, correction, deletion or complaint requests where applicable; and
- to send promotional communications only where we have an appropriate basis and to maintain opt-out/suppression records.
5. Support contact is not blanket marketing consent
Submitting a support request means you are asking BACKON to contact you about that request. It does not automatically enroll you in unrelated promotional marketing. Where express marketing consent is required, it is requested separately and is not a condition of receiving ordinary support.
6. Remote-support sessions
Remote access is separately authorized. We aim to collect only technical information reasonably necessary for the task. BACKON does not record remote screens by default. If a future service involves recording, persistent monitoring or unattended access, the customer will be told before it occurs and additional consent/contract terms will be used where required.
7. Service providers and processors
We may use third parties for infrastructure, communications, payment processing, support tools and accounting. These may include Cloudflare for website infrastructure/security and, when offered for a transaction, PayPal or Skydo for payment collection. Third-party services process data under their own terms and privacy notices as well as any applicable agreement with us.
8. International processing
NV Venture is established in India and customers may be elsewhere, including the United States and Canada. Information may therefore be processed across borders. Privacy rights can vary by jurisdiction, and overseas authorities may have lawful access powers. We use reasonable access, confidentiality and security controls appropriate to the information and service.
9. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected and for legitimate tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute, legal and compliance needs. Different records have different retention requirements. Opt-out/suppression information may be retained as necessary to ensure that a person who asked not to receive marketing is not accidentally re-added.
10. Security safeguards
We use safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the information, which may include access restrictions, account security controls, secure service providers, limited technician access and record minimization. No internet system can be guaranteed completely secure, so customers should also avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
11. Your privacy choices and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may be entitled to request information about data we hold, access or correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, or to object to certain uses. We may need to verify identity before acting on a request and may retain information where required or permitted by law.
12. Canada
For Canadian commercial activities where PIPEDA or a substantially similar provincial law applies, BACKON/NV Venture aims to follow principles of accountability, identified purposes, meaningful consent, limited collection/use/retention, safeguards, openness, access and complaint handling. Sensitive information receives a higher level of care.
13. United States
Privacy obligations in the United States can vary by state and context. BACKON does not claim that every state privacy law applies to every transaction. Where a mandatory privacy right applies, this policy is not intended to remove it.
14. Website storage and external resources
The site uses local browser storage to remember that you dismissed the privacy notice. We do not currently set BACKON analytics or advertising cookies. Some pages load resources from third parties, such as Google-hosted fonts or payment-provider branding, which can cause your browser to send ordinary connection information (for example, IP address and browser headers) to that provider. See the Cookie Policy.
15. Data incidents
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will assess it, contain it where possible, preserve relevant records and make notices or reports required by applicable law.
16. Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected]. General support requests should go to [email protected].
